Energy Management

Electrical distribution is about more than just keeping the lights on. An Energy Management system must satisfy consumer demand at minimum cost, of course, but these days you have to consider consumer preferences, regulatory pressures, profit margins, and operating expenses. Utilities have been implementing various applications/system to achieve these goals. PowerQ has established strategic partnerships with key industry players in their respective expertise :

Web-based Energy Monitoring System

Web-EMS is an innovative, state-of-the-art web-based integrated energy monitoring system that measures analyze and produce various analytical reports for energy consumption, power quality and SCADA/DA.  The collective information is available with just a few clicks away. It is essential operational and financial tools in any industrial and commercial users that could help to stay in control of their energy expenses and develop strategies to reduce downtime or avoid a repeat disruption.

Power Monitoring Monitoring System (PQMS)

Monitoring power supply and power quality are critical to ensuring optimal performance of power systems. Monitoring can provide information about power flow and demand, as well as the quality of the power. Monitoring can be a vital diagnostic tool, identifying problem conditions on a power system before they can cause disturbances or interruptions. We partner with Dranetz-BMI and Electrotek to bring Power Quality inductry in the the next level.

PRISM SCADA Suite

PRISM by Advanced Control Systems is an industry standard, currently operating in over 200 electric utilities worldwide. Often basic SCADA systems are supplemented with applications specific to distribution, generation or transmission enterprises, as well as communications and security options. PRISM SCADA is the most complete offering on the market today. PowerQ also provides several remote terminal units, with superior processing power, then exploited computer network theory to design a powerful tool for data collection and control.

Wide Area Measurement System (WAMS)

WAMS, in contrast, refers to the acquisition of synchronized real-time or historical data throughout the interconnected power network. In the early 1990s, through the efforts of several utilities and EPRI, the deployment and application of Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs) was begun. While early applications of PMUs involved synchronized data acquisition for model and control verification, and relaying, the networks that evolved have become the backbone of WAMS. Macrodyne PMU is undoubtly the best to execute the functionality.

Energy Meters

We provides single-phase meters measure electrical energy consumption and instantaneous power. In addition, there are three-phase meters are intended for use in household, commerce and light industry. Many configurations of the meter are available. TRIO meters can be configured for measuring either active energy or both active and reactive energy.
